Hey everyone,
As I'm sure you all know, the MLB season starts on Thursday. Yes....finally! I'd like to once again thank everyone for helping me get the league up and running during the off season! Thanks to everyone's active participation throughout the previous months, we are ready for the start of the season! Here are a few reminders/notes as we get started.
- We are now switching to in-season rules. This means that in order to add a free agent, the player must be on their real MLB team's active 25 man roster. Reminder: If you want to add an impending call up free agent (say, a player called up from the minors by an MLB team that's available in our league's free agent pool), you must confirm that the player is being promoted before adding the player. I will confirm that the add is legal and the player is being promoted by their real MLB team. If I can't confirm a player's impending call up, the claim will be considered illegal and I will reverse the transaction.
*Please refer to the rules section on the Pro Boards if you need a refresher on some of the other in-season rules.
- Starting Thursday, there will no longer be a long term DL. You will only be able to DL (IR) a player if they are eligible through Fantrax (when the player has a red flag with white cross icon).
- Fantrax and Pro Boards:
*With the season underway, you are expected to set and manage your roster on Fantrax daily. Please make sure that you are actively setting your lineup (pitching and hitting) and managing things like injuries/DLs and other roster issues that may come up (promotions/demotions, adds/drops, etc). The goal is to actively manage and keep a legal roster.
*You should also be checking in regularly (every 1-2 days) at the Pro Boards to keep up with league activity and discussion.
- Please continue to post your promotions/demotions and taxi squad moves in the designated sections on the Pro Boards.
- The salary spreadsheet file will be updated throughout the season (just like the off season).
- If you have any questions regarding the league, do not hesitate to ask me. I don't mind answering any type of question. If you are uncertain about anything, whether it's clarification of league rules or how to do something in Fantrax, feel free to reach out and I will do my very best to help. I want everyone to enjoy participating in this league!
Thanks again for participating and I look forward to a fun and exciting season (and many seasons to come)!
