Hey everyone,
Thanks so much for helping me complete the MLB draft so quickly! I really appreciate everyone's efforts! We will now move on to the minor league draft. Here's some information regarding the minor league draft:
-Draft will start Monday, 11/6 (starting midnight EST).
-24 hour clock per pick, just like the MLB draft.
-There will be two timeframe periods where the 24 hour clock will NOT be enforced due to the Holidays. During this timeframe, you are allowed to draft like normal, but no team will be skipped if they take longer than 24 hours.
-The timeframe periods are 11/20-11/27 and 12/20-1/3.
-We will use the Pro Boards to conduct the draft.
-If you would like to communicate with others during the draft, please use our league chat room on the Fantrax league home page.
-To draft a prospect, please post a reply in the draft round post with your pick when it's your turn to pick (post the player name, position, and team....for example, Joe Bob SS CHC).
-Add the prospect to your minor league roster in Fantrax (steps on how to do this will be listed below).
-If you draft a minor leaguer that is not yet available in Fantrax, please PM me as I will be tracking this in a separate post.
-Rules for drafting a minor leaguer:
*Position player must have 130 or less career MLB at bats
*Pitcher must have 50 or less career MLB innings pitched
*Any player that’s a Latin American international signing
*Any player that’s an Asian international signing with no professional
experience (Korean Baseball Organization, Nippon Professional Baseball,
Taiwan)
How to add a prospect to your minor league roster in Fantrax:
-Click players
-Use the search feature to search for the prospect you want to add
-Click the add player button (green circle with plus sign) for the prospect that you would like to add
-On the Claim/Drop screen, click the Submit Transaction button
-On the pop up screen, click the dropdown next to Status and select Minors
-Click the OK button
NOTE: To keep the draft moving, feel free to email the next person to let them know that their pick is now on the clock. You can use Fantrax to email any member of the league. To do this, go to Team > Owner List/Send Emails. From there, you can send an email to anyone in the league.
